The new robot fair R-18 has just announced a conference program with more than 40 posts. Visitors can look forward to hear keynote speakers like Lars Tvede from Nordic Eye Venture Capital, Hanspeter Fässler from ANYbotics, Amit Kumar Pandey from Softbank Robotics, Etienne Augé from Erasmus University and Alf Rehn from SDU.
It’s a conference program with international heavyweights, which are now being published from Denmark’s new robot fair R-18. From September 11th to 13th, visitors can participate in more than 40 posts when R-18 runs for the first time in the Odense Congress Center.
Among the prominent speakers is Lars Tvede, known as the serial entrepreneur of finance and technology companies, and he wants to share his knowledge and reflections. Lars Tvede replaces Keynote Speaker, former Obama advisor Henrik I. Christensen.
– New technology is used in the beginning to improve known technology. The megatrend around robotics, however, is about much more than automation. It’s about seeing new business areas and services that you can’t imagine today. And the starting point is to create innovation. At the individual, in companies and in society, says Lars Tvede, who is also co-founder and chief investor in Nordic Eye Venture Capital.
The program includes several exciting keynote speakers like Hanspeter Fässler, co-founder of the robot company ANYbotics. Amit Kumar Pandey from Softbank Robotics and Etienne Augé, professor at Erasmus University and founder of “Community for Histories of the Future”, will also be on stage. Additionally, you can experience Alf Rehn, Professor of SDU and member of Thinkers50 experience on R-18.
According to Sabina Kethelz, Director and Founder of CIP Consulting Group and Partner in Digital Odense Network, there are some strong speakers from the robot industry, but there are also speakers from other and new industries from which visitors can take advantage from in regards to business work, automation and digitization.
“It’s a really strong conference program that focuses on the business opportunities that digitalization brings and the many new technological trends we see. The program includes both business cases and conference posts that provide new knowledge to the visitors. I am confident that the program will challenge and inspire visitors and subsequently give the ground for discussions at home, says Sabina Kethelz, who has been an active part of planning the conference program.
Three days and three themes
The conference program is divided into three themes, the Export Summit, ScaleUp, HR and recruitment.On the first day of the fair, there is focus on business opportunities for companies investing in new technology and on export opportunities for Danish companies. ScaleUp on the second day focuses on how to accelerate from start-up to successful business. On the final day of the fair, the program will primarily focus on attracting and retaining skilled labor in the robot industry.
